“A poet is a nightingale, who sits in darkness and sings to cheer its own solitude with sweet sounds.” -Percy Bysshe Shelley

Gesture
It is the same way we see heat
emanation, only by the rippling
of reality,
an oasis awaits further down the road.
Despite the distance we cover,
no matter how we adjust our focus
crisp lines singe into smoke
relaxing
feeling and senses
a source.
Desire is emanated
from the soul to the eye
that traces the shapeliness of
bodies around
a naked blur
which softly invites a gaze.
The way wind is welcome
where still
waiting for change
of pace moves no bodies
weighted with apathy.
The world spins, arrows fly,
hope floats, love kills, babies die,
the decrepit are reborn, the gates are locked,
gravity suspends its permanence
for a second
witness.
See how it feels...
Arid and parched
a body becomes
never reaching
for what cannot be held.

Proof to feel
Exempt from Rule three
'Seeing is Believing',
poets have felt gravity waves for centuries
before proof,
evidenced in the condensed packet called
a 'moment', that hits him square in the numbers
chest-wise.
Arresting breath with bondage attention
the neck braces itself out there
nearly knocked into shadowed fear-
don't look here-
it seems safer to watch than feel.
Despite the blind faith and electric lights,
the poet reads the ultraviolet signs as liminal,
hairs will rise only to settle in an
oppressing scream. It thinks it is escaping in
reaching for its own echo, those
vibrations shake the sound loose
from source.
Entanglement matters most
to poets without deflecting further penetration,
those background noises were called white
for lack of definition.
The poet lights his metaphor,
inhaling all that remains too minute
to make time.

Audio astronomy
The signal came from the southern sky
traveling through pelagic open space,
in intergalactic waters,
way out in the extragalactic sea
where wails with corkscrew tails
sing like wet rings, bottle-tops
humming up a cacophony
politely one point three billion
miles away we heard-
a New drop in Newtons bucket
a ripple we just heard, a chirp,
a slurp of bodily attraction
placed in interactive
angular momentum
just one parsec apart
and the moan, a new word
pronounced audioastronomy
a visual dichotomy
once again,
we were not using our sense(s).
Let's pretend we're dumb
and listen to what space may say
about a billion yesterdays
inaudible ways.

Description in English: An extraordinary outburst produced by a black hole in a nearby galaxy has provided direct evidence for a population of old, volatile stellar black holes. The discovery, made by astronomers using data from NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory, provides new insight into the nature of a mysterious class of black holes that can produce as much energy in X-rays as a million suns radiate at all wavelengths.
Researchers used Chandra to discover a new ultraluminous X-ray source, or ULX. These objects give off more X-rays than most binary systems, in which a companion star orbits the remains of a collapsed star. These collapsed stars form either a dense core called a neutron star or a black hole. The extra X-ray emission suggests ULXs contain black holes that might be much more massive than the ones found elsewhere in our galaxy.
A paper describing these results will appear in the May 10, 2012, issue of The Astrophysical Journal.
