Christmas Presence

I am here
Warm blooded
In the icy dawn.
Pink blush to periwinkle blues
Paint the sky
Behind eyelashes,
Barren branches,
Heavy hearts hung high
Not just I
sigh, exhale
thinking only of
Others
whose day holds heavy fruit,
Hugs, in deep loss and great gains
ripe and rotten. I
Inhale the sharpness of
Those warm with love and
Those hollow in hopelessness.
Those that have just arrived,
Those that have long left,
Those that remain
In this familiar temperance
I feel
Here. And there
Goes, swift as the hours,
enduring as years
Ends and Begins
all Over and
Again.

ante meridiem

The first crows of day take flight,
Gliding across the cool metal morning sheet
Confidence rises cool and aloof,
Early raw and pink dissipates like sunrise,
awakening forges
Here to face another view of this again,

All anew and alloyed with quill.

Free Will-but save yourself

The whole truth and nothing but the truth,
You can't handle the truth-
Truth be told,
If you dare,
I swear on my life
It had all been said before as time and time again repeats itself, this time is different,
as assertion or assumption that the old is new again-this time
there is no way all the way around without seconds-
You've tried before, before the moments meant more than muddled memory of cake,
a building block, an hour glass or year more changes things, dims the lighting while we change
and seek something original before sunset-
Yet nothing new or true has been said yet...
except we still try (and propose)
we still lie (and suppose)
we still die, believing legacy lasts longer than I told you so,
as though the truth shall set you free
to choose
just
one.

Ritually Custom

'Tis a sensuous tribute to Time
that we caress the Moment,
knowing it curves and gestures
that sink into warm familiar coves,
sucking in all its nectar
as newly brewed.
Again, more, and a gain!
Let us do the steps-
in orderly,
walk with me, mirroring see,
strut through it
then and again
like it is your old house.
Right now,
exactly like it was
when you remembered what
you came here for.

Tho never was it
the same, all most
re-placed.

Like last Time
bittersweet lingers not long
enough.
Like seasons and seconds,
more tradition and Time
to do the same.
Plump predictions and ripe fruitions
bursting with Now
smelling like Then
we recognize This
time
as the Rite Time
to harvest
a gain.
