The halve of it

It came down to haves and have nots
and the haves had great supply of have nots
while the have nots knew their supply of haves was limited by what they had not.
It was not so great they knew not what they had, the haves had this instead.
And so, the haves always have more than not, but would say
Of course, what they have is never enough until they have
All there is to have.
Not that the have nots needed more than they had. They did not,
having not had any more than before,
and all the have’s had much more of all of it, so the have nots thought,
they have left none of it to have for them, the have nots know not
what it is, the haves have to have it.
Needing more than they have always more than now,
while the have nots are needing to halve
more than their fair share.
It was never even, or even
fair, never
to compare
halves as a whole and
have nots

at all.

Close your eyes and blow

Close your eyes and blow

Your wish is my command
The voice would
Beam.
Thy Will Be Done-
would be added
for reassurance and
-brace yourself-here is where
CHANCE (in mighty fine print)
stands
smalland(wedged)
b/w Now and When
what you want(ed)
blows up
to the surface, swerving
amongst chandelier blades
whipping cream
making a breeze
Come and Go around again,
Like karmatic vengance which has
been like you, doing like that
never this now
never this same alike (and again)
selfsame
as wishing thy will
Be come
some one
over there
who Will want
every thing you have
right Now-
for wishes, all ways
(taken for)

granted.

What Nots and What Have Yous

A-lone
which is not by It-self
we are not
hungry for hollow bread
Satisfied
we are not
as they are.

Ex-posed
to the elements,
sheltered from the cold-
blooded nature of time,
we are not
afraid to gather together.

No-body
taking a place
at an empty table
we are not
waiting any-more
for second(s),
when years will only do.

Rich with excess
Starved to impress
reminiscing to regress
we are not
In-stead of wishing and wanting
we are blessing and yawning
making new batches of Progress
and wiping up spilt regrets.

With indebtedness to our grand Hostess
Here, we take the left-overs
for tomorrows
grand children.
Today
we whet
our appetites
craving nothing more
than what we are not
indulging all the more.
