Goldenlocks

I stumbled upon a short

story, written

as if it were a poem-

Lines broken like cracks in the side-

walk that one steps

Over

Its title did not evoke its

gait and I hazard to observe-

if it walks like a big duck

it could be a small goose

and then

what do profiles

Reveal or musings in marginalia...

What makes a poem,

a place, a sense of something familiar

almost like thoughts

Severed

So many stories

follow a straight line

and then

turned a corner

saw a different path

without backstory and confident

Nobody

was following me

(anymore)

and then

it was done.

MontaƱa

I have never seen
a mountain
I did not like
until now.

I had never before seen
a mountain
you could fall in love with
whose body hovered over yours
like an angel, whose shape outlined
the carnal tone
and muster its mass
against the sky with ease.

I found myself
at the base.
Cowering in the shadows,
meeting the mountain
I thought I had been dwelling atop
for the first time
seeing level

as plain as today.

The green lantern

The face returns, a profile on the moon.
The serious brow exudes envy in its October glow.
The heat lifts its chain mail exterior,
unarmed now
the fight subdues, breathing resumes
as the humidity rises,
solemn fog rolls over the westerly
treeline
mingling out of character,
and brewing up a new ambiance
with wax dripping from overhead,
thunder gathering below,
running on low
light, it becomes apparent;

Degrees are mirroring phases.

Water Today, warm raindrops glass blurs, the blurry glassy, sharp sparkles sugar. Behind Evening, it was good. Leaves all turned into shadow...
