Bad hair day

He just came to bed.
The clock is wrong.
I am late
for nothing
so I get up before the alarm
and there is a notification
waiting for me
about a suspicious charge
to approve via Texting Y or N.
The internet is not working,
the wifi dissipated
my money evaporated.

My new husband
drinks, thirsting for his further demise.
My daughter starved herself
famished for failure.
My son avoided the real world
where the day breaks
optimism down into an icy rain
while the wind is whipping up
a bad batch
of loose and split ends.

Positively pessimistic

Is it easier to accept all good things
must reach their end
than the bad times
that meet this same demise
because we repel
what its worth,
reject positives,
deflect compliments,
to maintain our polarity
or sense of balance
diametrically positioned
in the middle of the mundane
generally relative
to the negative subjective
circles we spin,
where we begin
pessimism is always possible.

Saturn in Retrograde

Wait!
Hold off!
Hold on-
What is going on?
This doesn't feel right...
Why are those stars so bright?
It must be a neon sign the way they align,
Vacancy
I'm jumpy,
on edge.
If your friends jumped off a cliff
would you too
act-re-act?
But what is this cause
effectively, a cause for pause
of thought,
or not.
I lie
in wait,
sorting numerical fate.
I don't know why, I never lie
down
looking up, brightly
filtering lightly
through Truth's sieve
I believe
what falls between
may be indecision,
or just pieces of pessimism...
Seeing the signs, reading the route,
maps of the sky don't try
to make sense
of something so immense.
I'm going to need that sky crane
to see the hole
light at the end
of tunnel vision
that predicts,
narrowly,
Saturn's negative position,
set on a backwards mission
revolving by karmic volition.

And then...

Change is like that strong smell of cut grass or chopped wood that stops you still. Patterns, a symbol can be an illegible sign,  at first...
